UPDATED: Threat Investigation at Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin found Not Credible
UPDATED – 4/5/23 3pm – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Department says that yesterday鈥檚 threat at Stephen Decatur High School has been deemed non-credible, and the individual suspected of creating the threat has been identified. Appropriate charges are being forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice. No additional information will be provided to protect the privacy of the student.

UPDATED – 4:14pm – Regarding the school safety threat at Stephen Decatur High School, investigations into the writing found at the school is ongoing and will continue into tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, an increased law enforcement presence will be at the school until that time that the threat is deemed non-credible. An additional update will be provided Wednesday as it is made available.
Students were released from school on time – without interruption.
