The Point at Cape Henlopen State Park to Close for Season Tuesday

DNREC will close The Point at Cape Henlopen State Park – including a stretch of ocean and bay beach beginning on Tuesday, March 1^st for beach-nesting season. This is for the safety of multiple threatened and endangered beach-nesters and migratory shorebirds. The ocean-side beach will reopen to the public on September 1^st. The bayside beach will remain closed until October 1^st for use by shorebirds migrating south for the winter.
