The Delaware State Fair is Open

The gates are open at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington.  For the next 10 days the fair will be filled with rides, games, animals and all those ribbon winning crafts, foods and goods in the 4-H and FFA exhibit buildings.   The Delaware State Fair focuses on the preservation of the past, promotion of the present, and education in the future, of agriculture, horticulture, mechanical arts, and rural and domestic economy.

This year, where it’s usually the hottest week of the summer – it might be the wettest instead.  Accuweather is calling for more comfortable summer temps but humid until the final day of the fair which will be quite hot.  This weekend is likely to be rainy with thunderstorms possible – and then a chance of storms throughout the week.
