Teens Graduate from DOC Youth Academy
July 12, 2019
A dozen teens have graduated from the Department of Correction’s second Youth Academy. The 5-day program gives teens who want to learn about the criminal justice system the chance to interact and speak with various correctional employees. The program also gives participants the chance to potentially becoming corrections officers, police officers, agents, judges and attorneys – as well as enlisting in the military. The week-long course is a condensed version of the DOC correctional training academy – the teens graduated Friday.
