Tara Martens Named 2023-24 Wicomico County Teacher of the Year

Wicomico County has named its 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year. Tara Martens was named Wednesday night at the Teacher of the Year Spring Celebration. She is a math intervention teacher at West Salisbury Elementary School and has taught in Wicomico County Public Schools since 2012.

Martens will be celebrated at her school on Thursday morning – arriving in a classic 1969 Buick Electra – followed by a parade through the school and a short assembly.
