Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 9-3-23
Sunday was a good fishing day with fish caught from the beach to the canyons.
Beginning with Lewes Harbour Marina, they reported that the Katydid brought back flounder from ocean structure. The Surface Tension had dolphin also from ocean structure, but in this case the structure was floating. The Angler fished in Delaware Bay and caught spot and croaker. A few private boats took advantage of the dolphin being close to shore and brought back a good number of them.
At Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was a few spot and croaker on Sunday.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said once the beach reopened there were some spot and croaker caught on Fishbites and bloodworms. Indian River Inlet saw some big sheepshead caught on sand fleas. Blues were taken on 1 to 2-ounce mental lures during incoming water.
Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m said the Bill Slayer had tilefish.
