Saturday was a nice day on the water.

On Friday young Jake Marsilii was fishing with salmon Gulp! from the Port of Lewes Pier with his dad Danny when he hooked and landed his first keeper flounder, a solid 17 incher.

Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid brought in flounder and sea bass, the Savannah Lynn had a catch of sea bass and the Surface Tension caught sea bass and flounder all from ocean structure.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing Pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said fishing was good on Saturday for spot and croaker. The usual bloodworms and Fishbites were the top baits.

Old Inlet reported the good bluefish action continued during incoming water at the Inlet. Small metal lures worked best on the blues. The surf produced kings, spot and croaker on bloodworms and Fishbites.

Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m said the Miss Ene III had an excellent catch of flounder from an inshore wreck.
