Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 7-6-23
Thursday was another good fishing day, but it was a bad day to be a flounder.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported that the Grizzly, the Katydid and the Jay Sea II all came back from ocean structure will limits of flounder plus some sea bass. The Angler had croaker and kings from bay structure. Private boats that fished the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal found keeper flounder and some croaker on minnows, Gulp! and Fishbites.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported fishing was a bit slow on Thursday. Some spot and croaker were caught on bloodworms and Fishbites.
At Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m Burt said the flounder fishing at the Old Grounds was very good on Thursday. The all-day boat, the Captain Bob, had several anglers with four-flounder limits and the half-day boat, the Judy V, had some limits as well. Unfortunately, the tuna boats did not find the same love in the canyons.
