Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/28/23

Saturday was a summer day in October. Fishing was good in the ocean, but the surf continues to disappoint.

At Lewes Harbour Marina the report was excellent fishing in the ocean with a mixed bag of blues, sea bass and flounder coming in on the Jay Sea II, the Katydid and the Grizzly. The Top Fin has started fishing for tog and on Friday she had lots of shorts, with two keepers for all onboard plus 3 sheepshead and 1 black drum.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported the Inlet continues to produce tog and sheepshead on sand fleas and green crabs. The surf seems to have some 6-inch bluefish.

No one answered the phone at Breakwater Tackle or Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m.

The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Surf Tournament is coming up and several teams from Delaware will be participating. I hope the fishing there is better than here.
