Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/08/24


Sunday was a decent weather day at the beach and a fair number of fish were caught.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported that the Katydid had 12 flounder and a cobia over ocean structure. Mark Angline caught a 5.07-pound flounder out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal. Chris Colpo, Jason Samples and Steven Conners brought back two flounder, three sheepshead and four tog from bay structure.

Smith Bait in Leipsic said there have been several keeper trout caught from Bowers Beach on jigs baited with Gulp or top-bottom rigs baited with bloodworms.

Dan鈥檚 Tackle in Milton told us there are striped bass available in the Broadkill River with small plugs, bucktails and jigs baited with Gulp! all effective. Flounder are also in the river and will take live minnows.

Burt at Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m said the Captain Bob had about 10 black sea bass per customer on Sunday.
