Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/01/24
Sunday saw small craft advisories up and, to the best of my knowledge, no boats fished the bay or ocean.
Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em both reported no boats sailed on Sunday.
At Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was spot and croaker on bloodworms or FishBites bloodworm.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle told us that blues came to the Indian River Inlet during incoming water and were caught on white bucktails. At night striped bass have been caught on drifted sand fleas or live eels. The surf gives up spot, croaker and kings on sand fleas, bloodworms or FishBites. Acie Minkins caught a nice mess of kings from the surf by arriving at 5:00 a.m. and leaving at 9:00 a.m.
Dawn Gadberry caught a 6.9-pound flounder at the Old Grounds on squid.
