Sussex County Council will Discuss Proposed Ordinances – in Morning & Afternoon Sessions
The Sussex County Council meets Tuesday morning at 10 at the County Administration building in Georgetown. There will be a public hearing at 10:15 on the Community Development Block Grant application request for the FY 2023 CDBG grant year. Public hearings were held by the Community Development & Housing Department in towns throughout the county to identify them and the projects that have been identified for funding.
Two ordinances will be discussed and possibly introduced. One would replace a Vacation Retirement-Residential Park District with a new zoning district – the Master Plan Zone. The other ordinance would amend the County Code to add provisions for special requirements for solar farm conditional uses.
There are three public hearings in the afternoon session – all dealing with applications for an amendment to the future land use map, Change of Zone and Conditional Use for a proposed 42 unit multi-family medium density residential district near the intersection of Route 9 and Gravel Hill Road east of Georgetown.
The Sussex County Council meets at 10am in the County Administration building on The Circle in Georgetown.
