Suspect Arrested For Wicomico Co. Shooting Death
A man is facing first-degree murder charges following a weekend shooting in Salisbury.
According to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home on Pocahontas Avenue, and a shooting victim was found lying in the front yard. Jerome Moss died later at a hospital.
44-year-old Clifton Jones was found inside the home and was taken into custody.
The Sheriff’s Office said an investigation determined that Moss and others were at the home when Jones retrieved a firearm and shot Moss several times. Others wrestled the firearm away from Jones and he was held until police arrived.
Jones is being held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center. He is charged with Murder, Assault and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
The investigation is ongoing.
