Stockton Man Sentenced to 40 Years for 2nd Degree Murder
A Stockton man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for 2nd degree murder, 1st and 2nd degree assault and reckless endangerment. Worcester County Circuit Court Judge Beau Oglesby presided over the 3-day trial in March where a jury found 41 year old Sherronte Robins guilty. Judge Oglesby imposed the 40 year sentence on Robins last week.
Court records show police were called in January of 2022 to a West Ocean City motel where they found Nichols Pittman with a stab wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead a short time later by EMS.
Video surveillance from the motel showed Pittman exiting Sherronte Robinsā room at the motel while holding his throat and eventually collapsing to the ground. Robins can be seen on the video throwing an object out of his apartment, which was recovered by police and found to be a 10-inch steak knife covered in blood. Robins was located still on scene and was immediately taken into custody.
