UPDATED: State Fire Marshal Investigating Deadly Morning Fire East of Millsboro

UPDATED 8:30am – A fire in a house trailer on Harmons Hill Road just before 4:30 this morning has left one person dead and another in stable condition at Beebe Hospital. Millsboro firefighters arrived at the scene to find flames shooting from the home. State Fire Marshal investigators say a 27 year old woman was able to escape out a window. The victim was take to the Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy later today. The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is underway. Damage is estimated at $30,000

An early morning fire east of Millsboro has left one person dead and one injured. The call came out just before 4:30am for a home on Harmons Hill Road. One person was taken to an area hospital – a second person was found dead inside the home. Multiple fire crews aided Millsboro and Indian River to battle the fire. Most crews have cleared the scene – the State Fire Marshal is investigating.
