Start of Open Enrollment on Health Insurance Marketplace; Delawareans to See Changes For this Period
As Delaware begins its 11th year of open enrollment on the Health Insurance Marketplace, state and federal leaders and marketplace navigators are gathering this morning to announce changes for this enrollment period. Open enrollment begins Nov. 1st and runs through Jan. 15th, 2024. Last year, nearly 35,000 Delawareans signed up for health insurance on Delaware’s marketplace, a new high total. For this enrollment period, Delawareans will have four insurers and 57 plans to choose from – the highest total in the 11 years of the marketplace. As recently as the 2022 plan year, those who enrolled had only one carrier and 12 plan options to choose from in the marketplace.
Consumers can go to HealthCare.gov or CuidadodeSalud.gov now to explore their options for 2024 coverage, and they can enroll anytime between Nov. 1 and Jan. 15, 2024.
