St. Patrick’s Day DUI checkpoints announced

St. Patrick’s Day is this weekend, meaning green beer will be flowing. However, Delaware State Police are warning people to think twice before getting behind the wheel. State Police from Maryland and Delaware along with Delmar, Laurel, Seaford, Bridgeville and Greenwood police will be patrolling the Route 13 corridor for drunk drivers. There will also be DUI checkpoints set up on route 13 near Camden, on Concord Road in Seaford, and on northbound/southbound lanes of Route 1 in Rehoboth. Police say you should plan ahead if you’re going out drinking this weekend, and make sure you have a sober ride home.
