Southbound Route 113 near Dagsboro Closed for Cleanup after Crash Monday Night

Southbound Route 113 in the area of Swamp Road south of Dagsboro was closed for about 4 hours Monday night after a tractor trailer carrying chicken waste was involved in a crash and spilled its load. Delaware State Police say around 8pm, a Silverado driven by a 42 year old Bridgeville man was crossing the southbound lane to go north and entered the path of the southbound tractor trailer. The impact of the crash caused the tractor trailer to overturn. The roadway was closed for about 4 hours to investigate the incident and clean up the mess.

Both drivers and a 17 year old male passenger in the Silverado refused medical transport.

The driver of the Silverado was cited for failure to yield the right of way and other traffic violations.
