UPDATED: South Bethany Voters Elect A New Mayor & 3 Council Members
UPDATED – Sunday – There was a strong turnout for Saturday’s town council vote in South Bethany. Voters have decided on a new mayor in now former councilman Tim Saxton. He won 388 votes to Pat Voveris’s 238. There will also be a change in the town council make up. Three seats were up for election – incumbent Sue Callaway was the top vote-getter with 484, incumbent Don Boteler won 446 votes and challenger Wayne Schrader got 374. Incumbent Tim Shaw received 306 votes.

Voters in South Bethany go to the polls Saturday to elect a mayor and three council members to 2-year terms. Incumbent Pat Voveris is challenged by Tim Saxton for the Mayor’s seat. There are three council seats up for election – incumbents Tim Shaw, Don Boteler and Sue Callaway are challenged by Wayne Schrader. The polls are open from 9 to 3pm at Town Hall.
