Somerset County Fire Causes $100,000 in Damage

Firefighters from the Fairmount Volunteer Fire Department in Somerset County were called for a house fire Sunday morning just after 11:30. The Townrow Road home was equipped with a fire alarm which did activate for early notification. The Maryland State Fire Marshal says the blaze began in the attic – the cause remains under investigation. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
