Smyrna Woman Dead after Struck by a Pickup in Dover

A Smyrna woman is dead after she was struck by a pickup truck in Dover Friday night.  Delaware State Police say the pickup was northbound on Route 13 near Fast Landing Road when a woman running across the northbound lane ran into the path of the truck.  The woman was struck and was thrown into the left lane.  Police say the driver of the pickup was properly restrained and was not impaired.  The pedestrian – 25 year old Larissa Tallhamer – was pronounced dead at the scene.  She was wearing dark clothing and carried no light – impairment is not known.  If you have information – contact Crime Stoppers.
