Sen. Carper Hosts Field Hearing On Drinking Water Infrastructure

Senator Tom Carper, D.-Del., will host a field hearing in Dover today (Friday) to examine local challenges surrounding drinking water.

Carper is Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. He will be accompanied by Ranking Member Senator Shelley Moore Capito, R.-WV.

The session looks to “identify unique challenges for small, rural and disadvantaged communities in accessing and maintaining drinking water and wastewater treatment infrastructure services.”

Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, D.-Del. and three local witnesses are expected to testify.
