UPDATED: Selbyville PD Arrest Woman for Identity Theft

Selbyville Police have arrested 43 year old Margarita Lopez-Juarez of Frankford for identity theft and other offenses. Police say that on September 22nd a victim left her wallet in a shopping cart at the south entrance of the Food Lion in the Mason Dixon Plaza. Around 7pm that day ā€“ Lopez-Juarez saw the wallet and took possession of the cart and hid the wallet on her person and left the shopping center. Lopez-Juarez used payment cards in the victim’s wallet for numerous unauthorized charges and obtained a large quantity of cash and personal documents that belonged to the victim.

Lopez-Juarez is charged with the following offenses:

  • Identity Theft
  • Theft > $1,500.00
  • Three counts of Theft < $1,500.00
  • Four counts of Unlawful Use of a Payment Card

Lopez-Juarez is free on her own recognizance and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on October 5th.
