Selbyville Man Arrested After Early Morning Chase

A Selbyville man has been arrested after leading Delaware State Police on a chase early this morning. Just after 2am, Troopers spotted a Trailblazer speeding on Route 54 in the area of the Treasure Beach Campground, but when the trooper tried to stop the vehicle he was lead on a 9-minute chase. The chase ended when Ocean View Police deployed stop sticks in the area of Peppers Corner Road. The driver – identified as 47 year old Gerald Lusby ran off into a wooded area where he was located by Trooper 2 and arrested by Troopers on the ground. Lusby is charged with DUI and multiple traffic and other offenses.
