Charges for a Seaford man after a crash on November 20 that injured five.  The crash occurred just after 9pm at Stein Highway and Neals School Road when an SUV driven by 50 year old James Betts of Seaford collided nearly head on with an Explorer driven by a 28 year old man from Maryland.   Betts received serious injuries – two adults and two children aged 5 and 7 in the Explorer were also injured – the 7 year old was later taken to A-I DuPont Hospital.  Police found drug paraphernalia in Betts’s SUV and learned that he had three previous DUIs – he is charged with his 4th offense DUI as well as two counts each of 1st and 2nd degree vehicular assault.  He is being held at SCI in default of a secured bond.
