Seaford Man Arrested on Weapons Charges
Seaford Police say they have arrested 25-year-old Djemsley Florestal of Seaford on numerous weapons charges.
Officers arrived at Forestal’s residence in the 300 block of North Pine Street around midnight on Thursday morning. Officials say they discovered that a domestic argument had taken place between Florestal, who was found to have been in possession of a bag that was discarded inside of an outside trashcan. When officers located the bag, they say they discovered two revolver handguns, one semi-automatic handgun, a large fixed blade knife and a large amount of ammunition for the handguns.
Officers discovered Florestal was a person prohibited from possessing firearms and deadly weapons due to previous criminal convictions. He was charged with 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, 4 counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited and disorderly conduct. He was also found to have several active capias issued for his arrest. Florestal was committed to the Department of Corrections on 75,100 dollars cash only bail.
