SCI Correctional Officer Arrested for Misconduct

A correctional officer from SCI has been arrested by Delaware State Police on charges of official misconduct.  Police say an internal investigation by the DOC showed that 47 year old Corey Davis communicated with family and friends of inmates while on duty between May 1^st and June 4^th of this year and that Davis brought contraband to prisoners on his tier in exchange for cash.  The investigation also showed Davis would allow inmates access to the State’s computer, and he would talk with inmates’ family members on the computer while the inmates were with him.  Davis is charged with receiving a bribe, misuse of computer system information, 2 counts of prison contraband and other offenses.  He is free on an unsecured bond.
