Salisbury University Student Charged with Wiretapping Congressional Staffer
February 14, 2019
A Salisbury University student has been charged with wiretapping after Maryland prosecutors say he fed a live stream of a meeting inside the office of U.S. Representative Andy Harris, a Republican of Maryland’s first congressional district.
Authorities say Jake Brudett, an advocate for the legalization of recreational marijuana, and a student at Salisbury University broadcast the meeting with one of Representative Harris’ staffers to Facebook, despite not having authorization to do so.
