Salisbury University Basketball Player Dies After Cancer Battle

Salisbury University has announced Senior Jack Ferguson, a member of the school’s basketball team passed away following a battle with a rare form of cancer.
Ferguson, who was 21 years old was diagnosed with Histiocytic Sarcoma over the summer, preventing him from playing for the Seagulls during the 2018-19 season.
He is being remembered across the Peninsula, with students and teammates sharing their condolences on social media. Rival teams including the Wesley College Bull Dogs have expressed sympathies as well.
According to SU, Ferguson succumbed to the disease on Sunday, March 10. Born in 1997, He was most recently a resident of McLean, Virginia, but is a native of Canada.
