Salisbury Teen Charged in April Shooting on East Carroll Street
Maryland State Police have arrested a 16 year old boy from Salisbury in connection with a shooting on April 16 that left 16 year old Ja’siah Johnson of Salisbury dead and a 22 year old Salisbury man injured. Police were called to East Carroll Street near Buena Vista Avenue just after midnight on April 16 where they found the two victims. Both were taken to Tidal-Health Peninsula Medical Center where Johnson was pronounced dead and the other victim was treated for his injuries.
The 16 year old arrested is charged with 1st and 2nd degree murder, attempted murder and related offenses. He was arrested Thursday in Baltimore City and is currently being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center pending an initial appearance win Wicomico County Circuit Court.
