Salisbury Man Sentenced to 40 Years for Sexual Abuse of Minor

A 52 year old Salisbury man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for sexual abuse of a minor and other offenses. Judge of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, S. James Sarbanes, sentenced Eric Paden last week after the completion of a pre-sentence investigation and mental health assessment.
Court records show that from January of 2020 through December of 2022, Paden sexually abused a minor within his household ā the victim was under the age of 16 at the time.
Following Paden’s active sentence, he will be on 5 years of supervised probation and subject to 15 years of incarceration if he violates his probation.
