Salisbury Man Arrested Following Seaford Burglary
Delaware State Police have arrested a Salisbury man for a domestic related incident that included burglary, physical violence and driving under the influence.
Troopers say 40-year-old Jeffrey Davenport engaged in a physical altercation with a female victim, his girlfriend, at a home in the 900 block of Little Brooke Lane in Seaford. During the altercation, Davenport entered the residence without permission, drove into the victim’s fence, broke the front screen door, struck the victim, got into a verbal altercation with the victim’s mother and struck one of the three children (ranging from 6 to 10 years old) that were present. Davenport also got into a physical altercation with the victim’s ex-husband, who was present at the time of the incident. None of the victims sustained injuries.
Davenport was pulled over by Troopers a short time after the incident and arrested after reeking of alcohol and failing to comply with Troopers. He was charged with 2 counts of Second Degree Burglary, Strangulation, Third Degree Assault, 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Resisting Arrest, Driving a 聽Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, 2 counts of Offensive Touching, Menacing and Criminal Mischief. He was committed to SCI on 32,900 dollars cash only bond.
