Rep Andy Harris Secures Housing Funding for MD’s Lower Shore Counties

First District Congressman Andy Harris announced a $79,784 federal grant to SHORE UP! Inc in Salisbury. The funding will be administered through the Housing Preservation Grants program and will specifically be used to repair and rehab homes of low and very-low income residents on the Lower Shore of Maryland.
Rep. Andy Harris made the following statement:
“As a member of the Agriculture Subcommittee of the Committee on Appropriations, I applaud the award of this federal grant to SHORE UP!. I appreciate their efforts to help people become economically self-sufficient, and this federal investment will help families and local communities on the Eastern Shore. I understand rural America needs these investments to grow and thrive, and I am committed to supporting our local communities.”
The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development.
