A flood watch is now in effect through late Thursday night as Tropical Rainstorm Zeta arrives on Delmarva.

Moderate to heavy rainfall can be expected Thursday, and on the coast strong, gusty winds are possible Thursday night into Friday.
Forecasts call for the possibility of one to three inches of rain.

Colder air is expected to follow the storm.

The Delaware Department of Transportation, Delaware Emergency Management Agency and other state agencies are monitoring the forecast for the potential of heavy rain and flash flooding. Motorists should not attempt to drive through flooded roadways.

Any hazards may be reported to DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center by calling #77 when it’s safe to do so. Please travel with your headlights on when windshield wipers are in use.

Residents of areas that are prone to flooding should take the proper precautions.
