Rehoboth Residents Pack City Hall to Talk Wastewater
January 6, 2019
It was a packed house at Rehoboth City Hall as residents turned out for a town hall meeting on the proposed transition of the city’s wastewater treatment plant facility – and all its related assets, liabilities and legacy obligations to the county. Now that the ocean outfall project has been completed, the city is looking at increasing costs to users. Many residents feel that the city should maintain control of its wastewater facility, which is in need of costly upgrades. After over 4 hours of discussion, the city will review all the comment before any decision is made.
