Rehoboth Kmart NOT on Latest Round of Sears/Kmart Closings

The company that now owns what was Sears Holdings has announced yet another round of closings of some of the remaining Sears and Kmart stores. TransformCo, in a release this week says they have faced challenges returning stores to sustainable levels of productivity as well as having some differences with Sears Holdings over the purchase agreement. The company plans to close 26 large-format Sears and Kmart stores in late October. There are just 5 Kmart stores on the list – Rehoboth, which has already been scaled back, is NOT on the closing list. A Sears in Baltimore on Security Square Boulevard will be closing.
