Rabid Fox Found in Dagsboro Area

If you live in the area between Colonial Estates Avenue and Thorogoods Road in Dagsboro – a rabid fox came in contact with a human this week. Delaware Public Health officials say the fox was killed – and was confirmed with rabies on Monday. The fox bit the person in the heel of their shoe, but didn’t contact their skin. If you think you might have been bitten, scratched or come in contact with the rabid fox – contact your doctor or call the DPH Rabies Program at 302-744-4995.
