Queen Anne-Hillsboro VFC Assistant Fire Chief Dies

The Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company is mourning the loss of Assistant Fire Chief Daniel Lister. He was operating at the scene of a crash Saturday when he suffered a medical emergency. Officials say resuscitation efforts were not successful and Chief Lister died at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health in Easton. Funeral plans have not yet been completed. Governor Larry Hogan has ordered US and Maryland flags to half-staff in honor of Lister – and return to full-staff at sunset on the day of internment.
