Public Comments on Off-shore Wind Turbines off MD & DE Coast Still being Taken

rob-carson

A week ago, Ocean City and area residents packed the Roland E. Powell Convention Center for a public meeting on the offshore wind turbines planned for off the coast.  While many support clean, renewable energy – they don’t want the turbines to be seen from the beach – and this is for both Maryland and Delaware.  The increase in the size of the turbines would make them visible – resort and area residents and visitors want the turbines farther offshore.  If you couldn’t make the meeting on January 18, comments are still being taken until January 31st

If you do submit comments – you will need to reference the case numbers for the two projects:

9628:  US Wind Maryland Lease Area Project

9629:  Skipjack Delaware Lease Area Project
