UPDATED: President Biden Arrives in Rehoboth Beach

UPDATED – 10:30pm – President Biden and the First Lady have arrived in Rehoboth Beach for a weekend at their North Shores beach house. The President was in Wilmington earlier in the day to speak with several hundred members of his Wilmington-based staff and thank them for their support during his campaign. Because of the weather, the President traveled from Dover Air Force Base by motorcade – arriving in Rehoboth just after 10pm. On his schedule for Friday – he will receive the President’s Daily Brief. He will be in town until Monday. 

Temporary flight restrictions have been posted for the duration. The President usually has no public schedule while he is in town, but has been known to go to church, bike riding and the beach as well as the occasional meal out. If you have a Biden spotting – send pictures to media@wgmd.com

ORIGINAL STORY – 08-08-24 – President Joe Biden is scheduled to arrive in Rehoboth Beach this evening. He is slated to depart Joint Base Andrews around 5:30 p.m. en route to the Delaware Air National Guard Base in Wilmington. From there, he will head to Rehoboth Beach later in the evening. The President is scheduled to arrive in Rehoboth Beach around 9:10 p.m.
