UPDATED: Police Arrest Ray-Ban sunglasses shoplifter in Rehoboth

UPDATED 8/31/19 6am – Thanks to tips from the community, a Bethesda, Maryland man has been arrested by Rehoboth Beach Police for taking sunglasses from Shades on Rehoboth Avenue.  Police were able to identify the suspect as 26 year old Anthony Cauterucci – he is charged with shoplifting and was released on his own recognizance.

Rehoboth Beach Police need your help identifying a suspect who reportedly stole Ray-Ban sunglasses and then days later returned to the same store and tried to steal another pair.

According to the Rehoboth Beach Police Department, the incident occurred around 4 p.m., Monday when the suspect (pictured above) reportedly stole a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from Shades on Rehoboth Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’9″ to 5’11” tall, black hair with a full beard, 20-29 years old.

The suspect returned to the store on August 28, 2019 just before 11am and attempted to remove another pair of sunglasses without rendering payment.
