Police search for suspect wanted for assault in Rehoboth Beach

Police are searching for a man who hit someone in the face with a glass bottle during an altercation in Rehoboth Beach.

According to the Rehoboth Beach Police Department, just after 10 p.m., Sunday, two people were involved in an altercation inside an establishment in the 100 block of Rehoboth Avenue.

During the altercation, a suspect struck a person in the face with a glass bottle. The suspect then left the area prior to the arrival of police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately thirty to forty years of age, 5’4″ to 5’6″ in height.

The victim was taken to Beebe Healthcare in Lewes where they were treated and released.
