UPDATED: Pedestrian Who Died after Crash on Route 113 in Georgetown Identified
UPDATED–1-10-24–1:00 p.m. –The Delaware State Police have identified 39-year-old Sonya Briddell of Georgetown as the woman who died in the fatal crash that occurred Monday evening in Georgetown. The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this incident.
UPDATED – 11am – Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that left a 39 year old woman dead Monday night in Georgetown. Police say the pedestrian entered the southbound lane on Route 113 near Ennis Road and stepped into the path of a southbound Jetta, which struck the woman. She was thrown into the right lane and struck by a second car. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither of the drivers was injured. Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Sgt Burns at 302-703-3269 or Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.

Georgetown Police were called for a crash on Route 113 just after 6pm Monday. Police tell the Talk of Delmarva that a pedestrian was struck and died from their injuries as a result of the crash. The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit has assumed the investigation. The Talk of Delmarva will have more information when it is available.
