UPDATE: Police Identify Shooting Victim Who Died After Overnight Shooting at Apartment Complex in Seaford

Seaford Police say a 36-year-old Seaford man who was shot overnight at Woodland Mills Apartment Complex was identified as Deshawn Blackwell. He was taken to the hospital as he suffered life-threatening injuries but then died. Police say Blackwell was sitting outside of an apartment when someone approached him and fired several rounds–striking him in multiple areas. The shooter then ran away. The Seaford Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at the Woodland Mills Apartment Complex around midnight last night. Officers found the person with multiple gunshot wounds. They started to administer first aid to the victim prior to the arrival of medical personnel at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
