Overnight House Fire in Salisbury

One of the neighbors on Liberty Street in Salisbury discovered a house on fire overnight. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the fire started in the living room beneath the flooring. A failure of the floor mounted gas furnace caused the blaze. 30 firefighters helped control the fire, which took about 20 minutes. No renter was staying in the house. The fire caused an estimated $75,000 in structural damage.
