Over 1100 Dogs & Cats Adopted This Weekend

Over the weekend a Mega Adoption Event was held by the Brandywine Valley SPCA at the State Fairgrounds.  1181 adoptions were made to families in the tri-state area – 716 dogs and 465 cats were given forever homes.  This was the 5^th mega adoption event and had the highest number of adoptions so far – not just for puppies and kittens but for senior animals and long-time shelter residents as well.  Just 1 dog and 11 cats were left at the end of the event on Sunday.
