One Injured in Dump Truck Rollover on Coastal Hwy north of Lewes

The driver of a dump truck was flown to an area hospital after his truck rolled over on Route 1 in the area of Greystone Drive north of Lewes just after 8 this morning. Delaware State Police tell the Talk of Delmarva that the truck was northbound and approached a stopped school bus when a car in front of the truck stopped abruptly. The truck driver swerved to the left to avoid a crash – but the truck rolled over on the highway. The load of dirt in the truck spilled – which caused the roadway to be closed for about an hour. The truck driver was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
