OCPD Plan Alcohol Compliance Checks
June 3, 2021/
As the summer season gets underway, Ocean City Police said efforts will be made to ensure that alcohol sales are done in compliance with state law.
Checks are planned through the summer season at area bars, restaurants and alcohol retailers, in cooperation with the Worcester County Health Department. Undercover underage personnel will visit establishments in the company of plainclothes officers to try to make purchases.
Businesses that sell alcohol are required to make a concerted effort to make sure that no one under the age of 21 is able to buy alcohol.
