Ocean City PD giving away free bike lights

In an attempt to promote public safety, Ocean City Police Department is giving away free bike lights to residents. Anyone who rides their bike at night but does not have headlights or taillights is welcome to head to the Ocean City Public Safety Building and pick up a set of lights at no charge. Police will also be pulling over bikers riding at night time without lights to give them some. According to police, last year, over half of all bike accidents occurred at night with bikes that were not properly equipped with lights.
