New Sussex Superior Court Judge Sworn In Today
The Honorable Craig A. Karsnitz was publicly sworn in for his first term as a Judge of the Superior Court of the State of Delaware at 3 p.m. on November 30, 2018 in Courtroom 1 at the Sussex County Courthouse in Georgetown. Judge Karsnitz fills a vacancy created by the Honorable T. Henley Graves, who retired in April.
Superior Court President Judge Jan R. Jurden welcomed the audience to the investiture and
administered the Oath of Office as Judge Karsnitz’ children, Ross C. Karsnitz and Tristan J. Karsnitz, held the Bible. Judge Karsnitz’ wife, Kathi, assisted with the robing. Following the Oath of Office, Neilli Walsh, Esquire, Partner at Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor and longtime friend of Judge Karsnitz, and The Honorable Gary F. Traynor, Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware offered remarks. Resident Judge Richard F. Stokes presided.
Prior to being nominated to the Superior Court, Judge Karsnitz was a partner with Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor for 40 years.
A graduate of Villanova University School of Law, Judge Karsnitz received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Delaware.
